Privacy Policy

Chromalyst is a web browser with built-in developer tools, published by PartnerFlow. Because it is a debugging tool, it can see detailed information about the pages you open. This policy explains what that means and what happens to that information.

The short version

Everything Chromalyst captures stays on your device. We don't run servers that receive your browsing data, and the app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.

What the app captures

While you browse, and only so it can show it to you in the DevTools panel, Chromalyst captures:

• console messages and JavaScript errors from the page;
• network requests made by the page, including URLs, headers and bodies;
• the page's DOM structure;
• the site's cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage, when you open the Storage tab.

This data is held in memory for the current tab and is cleared when you navigate away (unless you turn on "preserve log") or close the tab. It is never sent to PartnerFlow or anyone else.

What the app stores on your device

To restore your session, Chromalyst saves your open tabs, recent history (the last 20 pages) and bookmarks in the app's private storage. Websites you visit may also store their own cookies and data in the browser, as in any browser. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Sharing

Chromalyst only shares data when you explicitly ask it to — for example by exporting a bug report, which creates a file on your device and opens your system share sheet. What happens to that file afterwards is up to you and the app you share it with.

Chromalyst may offer an optional remote debugging mode that lets a computer on your local network connect to the page you're viewing. It is off by default, requires a pairing code, and shows a banner while active.

Third parties

The websites you visit receive your requests, as in any browser, and have their own privacy policies. On the start page, Chromalyst loads site icons for your bookmarks from Google's favicon service, which receives the domain names of those bookmarks.

Children

Chromalyst is a developer tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
